Program Title: Crime Analysis Certificate

Describe the proposed degree program change(s) in terms of how the changes differ from the program as currently approved and published in the latest WOU catalog (specify the latest catalog date).
Criminal Justice Majors have the option of taking a structured course of study that leads to a BS in Criminal Justice, a Certificate in Crime Analysis, and a minor in Computer Science.
Currently, the Registrar¿s Office does not record the fact that a student has completed the requirements for the Crime Analysis Certificate nor do they issue a WOU "Crime Analysis Certificate" in recognition of this achievement. We request that the Registrar's Office begin recording this information on the student's transcripts and that they issue a Crime Analysis Certificate to qualified students.
