Program Title: Advising Plan for Pre-Education Majors

In addition to broad curricular revisions, faculty in the Division of Teacher Education have also designed a plan to begin advising pre-education majors.

Describe the reasons for making this change:
This plan was designed to meet the request from Provost Neely that Teacher Education faculty begin advising their own students.

How and when will the effectiveness of these changes be determined?
The effectiveness of the new advising plan will be monitored closely through (1) exit survey data from candidates on their perceptions of the effectiveness of teacher education faculty advising and (2) faculty surveys regarding the level of misinformation conveyed to them by advisees regarding teacher program and licensure requirements.
