Current Course Description:
Provides guidance in producing a written account of the anthropology major¿s field experience in ANTH 411.

New Course Description:
Provides guidance in producing a written account of the anthropology major¿s field experience in ANTH 411. Enroll By Arrangement; eligible for RP grading method. If not completed as agreed on By Arrangement form, RP will be replaced with NC.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
The anthropological research project is designed by the student in consultation with a faculty mentor. Kinds and amounts of data gathered, types of analysis undertaken, and supplementary research required vary among individual projects. The student is already required to maintain contact with his or her mentor during write-up. Authorizing the RP designation will demonstrate respect for the student's persistence and dedication to completion of the research project.
