New Course Description: Study of the structure and function of the human musculoskeletal system, with application of movement analysis techniques to a wide range of fundamental and activity specific movement patterns. Prerequisites: BI 234 with a grade of C- or better; MTH 105 or MTH 111 (or higher level math course), with a grade of C- or better. |
Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): Content in BI 234 needed as foundation for content PE 371. Skills developed in the BA/BS math requirement foundational for application to content in PE 371. Primary change is slight modification of the catalog description, and the recognition of higher level math classes meeting the prerequisite, which is not currently recognized in the online registration process. |
Students/Program affected: Primarily Exercise Science majors and Physical Education Teacher Education majors. An elective course for the Physical Education minor. |
