Current Course Description: Principles from classical mechanics will be presented with application toward understanding the physical constraints on human movement, and in evaluating and understanding various aspects of performance enhancement and injury risk assessment. Prerequisites: PE 371; MTH 105 with a grade of C- or better or MTH 111 with a grade of C- or better. |

Prerequisites: MTH 105 or MTH 111 (or higher level math course) with a grade of C- or better; PE 230, PE 371. |
Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): Content in prerequisites is foundational material for this course. Skills developed in the BA/BS math requirement foundational for application to content in this course. Also included is a slight modification of the catalog description, and the recognition of higher level math classes meeting the prerequisite, which is not currently recognized in the online registration process. |
Students/Program affected: This is a required course for majors in Exercise Science and in Physical Education Teacher Education. It is an elective occasionally used in the Physical Education minor. |
