Current Course Description:
Provides students of physical education and exercise science with a knowledge base in the study of changes in motor behavior across the lifespan, the processes that underlie these changes, and the factors that affect them

New Course Description:
Provides students of physical education and exercise science with a knowledge base in the study of changes in motor behavior across the lifespan, the processes that underlie these changes, and the factors that affect them. Prerequisites: PE 230; BI 234, 235, 236

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
Content in prerequisites is foundational material for this course. The addition of the prerequisites will also facilitate tracking students into this upper division course at an appropriate time during completion of the major.
Students/Program affected:
This is a required course for majors in Exercise Science and Physical Education Teacher Education, and may be used as an elective course in the Physical Education minor.
