Catalog Description:
Students teach in a pre-service or in-service interpreter education setting that fit the student¿s interest and skill sets. During this experience, students will develop a teaching work sample and conduct an action research project. Students will complete 180 student teaching hours and participate in a seminar over a ten-week period.
Course Goal and Objectives:
Upon completing this course, students will be able to: ¿ Design and implement effective instruction for the development of meaning transfer and professional decision-making skills.
Justification for adding the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):

No facilities needed. Year 1, no new faculty. Year 2, one more tenure line faculty needed.
Brief Course outline:
¿ Students will be out in the field for 180 student teaching hours. ¿ Students journal and discuss via Moodle and face-to-face meetings with the class in small groups and one-on-on with the instructor.
