Current Course Description:
Principles and practices of interfacing and using audio and video systems with microcomputers in instructional environments.

New Course Description:
Principles and practices of digital audio and video production and editing for instructional environments. Within this course students will develop skills for video production, examine ways to infuse video into educational contexts and evaluate its potential for the improvement of teaching and learning. This project-based course is taught through a combination of lecture, discussion, demonstration and hands-on practice.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
The current name of this course is obsolete. The name and description have been updated to reflect current practices in digital video production. The new name and description are consistent with what is currently being taught in this course.
Students/Program affected:
MSEd Information Technology students take this course as an elective in their course of study. They will not be affected by this change.
