Current Course Description:
Exploration of the roles and functions of persons employed in occupations for which the study of psychology prepares students. Survey and practice of specific and non-specific skills of helping and interpersonal influence such as interview and group dynamics. Ethics and other professional issues will be considred.Prerequisite: PSY 201 and 202 or equivalent or consent of instructor.

New Course Description:
Exploration of the roles and functions of persons employed in occupations for which the study of psychology prepares students. Students will be introduced to psychology related professions and the graduate school application process.Prerequisite: PSY 201 and 202 or equivalent and consent of instructor.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
The change will reflect the focus on the graduate school application process that the course has.

Students will have a clearer understanding of the course content and know they have to apply for the course
