Current Course Description:
Focuses upon the behavior of the economy as a whole. Emphasizes the forces and interactions that naturally determine the levels of - and changes in the levels of- employment, aggregate output, interest rates and prices in a market economy; policy instruments for manipulating those levels; and policy problems. Prerequisite: EC 201, 202, MTH 111, EC 311, and sophomore standing

Prerequisite: EC 201, 202, MTH 111, and sophomore standing

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
Based on experience teaching this course the faculty have determined that students with EC 201, Introduction to Microeconomics, are adequately prepared to apply microeconomic theory to macroeconomics without requiring EC 311, Intermediate Microeconomics.
