Abbreviation for Class Schedule(20 spaces) STUDENT TEACHING: MA |
Current Course Description: An extended preservice teaching experience within a public school setting in the student's primary level of authorization. A second work sample will be completed as well as the final requirements for licensure. |
New Course Description: same as before |
Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): This change in student-teaching credits maintains compliance with TSPC requirements while reducing overall program credits, the latter being an important goal in our program revision process. Credits are being shifted to content pedagogy courses, curriculum/management/assessment courses, and seminar courses, all of which will include embedded field assignments that add structure and effectiveness to field experiences. |
Students/Program affected: Students affected will be teacher candidates in the Teacher Education Division's MAT Program. |
