Current Course Description: Course focuses on continued application and practice of teaching strategies within academic disciplines with an increasing emphasis on integration across content areas. Throughout the course, there will be an attempt to keep teacher¿s formal presentations to a minimum.

New Course Description: Course will emphasize curriculum design, instructional technology applications, and integration across academic disciplines. Examination of related professionalism resources and research in their academic disciplines.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): ED 434/534 and ED 436/536 are required of all elementary/middle and middle/high initial licensure students at WOU. These courses are not sequential and do not need to be taken in order. The Provost has requested that we remove language that indicates this from the course descriptions.

Students/Program affected: Undergraduate elementary/middle and middle/high initial licensure students. All MAT initial licensure students.
