Current Course Description:
ASL 320 American Sign Language Morphology (3) Focuses on the study of morphological analysis. Data from many languages will be analyzed, but the primary focus will be on ASL morphology. Methods of determining the morphological patterns of language will be examined. Prerequisite: ASL 101,102, 103, 201, 202, 203, LING 210, or permission of instructor

New Course Description:
ASL 414 D American Sign Language Morphology (3) Focuses on the study of morphological analysis. Data from many languages will be analyzed, but the primary focus will be on ASL morphology. Methods of determining the morphological patterns of language will be examined.Prerequisites: ASL 303 and INT 353 with a grade C or better in both classes, or permission of instructor.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This course covering a linguistics topic in ASL is taught in ASL, thus requiring a sophisticated command of, what is for most students, their second language. We are proposing that this course be offered at the senior level.
