Current Course Description:
Examines the social and political structure of Athenian democracy through the medium of the plays of the Athenian comic, Aristophanes.

New Course Description:
This course examines decolonization in former European colonies in the modern era and introduces students to post-colonial theories. We will analyze different types of decolonization movements and the lingering effects of colonialism and decolonization on post-colonial societies around the world.
