Course will consider the archeological and literary evidence that these unique sites offer us for life in the ancient world. Topics to be covered will include urbanism, family life, social and cultural life of the community, and the economy.

New Course Description:
Colonial North Africa analyzes the history of North Africa from the French conquest of Algeria in 1830 to decolonization in the 1960s.
