Justification for dropping the course: Justification for dropping the course: The deletion of A 117 is part of a larger program change that will shift all studio art courses in the Art Department from 3 to 4 credits. Part of this realignment includes the cancellation of three foundation courses from the art curriculum. Material from A117 (Beginning Design: Color) will be absorbed into several other courses: critical material will be absorbed into A 115. Other material specific to concentration areas will be absorbed into 200 level and 300 level coursework. Advanced color theory practice and application will be taught in A 315. |
