Catalog Description:
This course will explore methods of showcasing best works in digital format. Focus on processing documents in a variety of formats so that they can be displayed digitally in a standard format appropriate for universal viewing, such as PDF. Attention to design and display of information.
Course Goal and Objectives:
¿ Become familiar with a variety of tools for showcasing works in digital formats ¿ Learn how to save multiple formats into a universal format such as PDF ¿ Understand design and display of information ¿ Understand the role of reflection in electronic portfolios ¿ Understand the role of portfolios in assessment
Justification for adding the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This course will meet elective requirements for the MSED Information Technology program as well as the MAT technology component. The class is aligned with ISTE National Educational Technology Standards and the Framework for 21st Century Learning, which form the framework for the MSEd Information Technology program and underlie the technology requirement for teacher licensure.
