New Course Description:
An introduction to personnel functions. Top¬ics include personnel planning, recruitment, promotion and personnel development, employee compensation and motivation, job analysis and design, supplemental benefits, labor relations and occupational health and safety. Prerequisites: PSY320; or BA 361 and BA 362 (or BA 370 or BA 390)

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
At this time, I sign ¿add form¿ for the students. It will eliminate the need for the students to come to see me.
Students/Program affected:
PSY 320 is a course that introduces students to a wide range of employment settings where people serve an older adult population. Students who take PSY320 will be prepared to learn about Human Resource Management and apply that knowledge to a variety of employment settings. In addition, most Gerontology Majors and Minors who wish to enroll in BA 391 are pursuing careers in long term care management where exposure to the material in BA 391 would serve them very well, which is why the course is included as an elective option for Gerontology Majors and Minors. The proposed change would primarily affect Gerontology Majors and Minors.
