INT 442L Theory and Process of Interpreting V Lab (1) This interpreting lab, to be taken concurrent¬ly with INT 442, offers students an opportu-nity to apply the theories and to practice the techniques introduced in the Interpreting V class. In this lab, students practice simultane¬ous interpretations of increasingly difficult monologues, dialogues, interviews and group discussions.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This course has become a practicum in which students work outside the classroom independently in no risk situations. The name change reflects this reality. In addition, we have taken this Course + Lab model and modified it to be a 4-credit courses to allow for more dedicated time in the practicum site and in the classroom with the instructor for individual and group feedback.
Students/Program affected:
ASL/English Interpreting Program majors.
