New Course Description: This course provides an introductory overview to the professional field of rehabilitation counseling. An historical context is used as a foundation for the way service is currently delivered. The steps involved in the development of the Vocational Rehabilitation case file and various philosophical and service delivery models are reviewed. Additionally, the roles and perspectives of various members in the rehabilitation counseling field are explored. Practical tools and resources are taught and developed along with projects aimed at hands on application. Prerequisites: Admission to the RCE program or consent of instructor |
