Current Course Description:
2012-2013 Catalog, p. 164 Overview of a variety of contrasting theoretical counseling models underlying both individual and group practice in counseling. Second of three courses that present theories and techniques used in effective rehabilitation counseling. Emphasis is placed on the appropriateness of selected theories when counseling persons with disabilities. Prerequisite: concurrent enrollment in RC 609

New Course Description:
This course provides each student with an overview of a variety of contrasting theoretical models underlying both individual and group practice in counseling. This is the second of three courses that present theories and techniques used in effective rehabilitation counseling. Emphasis is placed on the appropriateness of selected theories when counseling persons with disabilities. Prerequisites: Admission to the RCE program or consent of instructor

The Rehabilitation Counselor Education program is requesting this description change so that the course description in the WOU catalog more accurately reflects the description as shown in the course syllabus.
