Catalog Description:
The student will explore new and emerging technologies that can be used to enhance student engagement. Both synchronous and asynchronous methods will be discussed. The course will provide students with hands on experience in designing individual and collaborative student learning experiences.
Course Goal and Objectives:
Upon completing this course, students will be able to: 1. Develop class activities using online technologies 2. Explore new and emerging technologies 3. Engage students in synchronous and asynchronous activities 4. Identify student learning styles and match with appropriate technologies 5. Customize student learning outcomes to technology 6. Create technology enhanced activities and assignments
Justification for adding the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This course will give students practical hands-on experience in choosing and employing new and emerging technologies for enhanced student engagement.
