Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): Because of the practical nature of this class (which includes student-directed scenes), and the number of students who need to take this class in order to fulfill major requirements, expanding the class from 3 to 4 credits will greatly enhance the ability to cover the material well (including additional concepts that we never get to currently) and will give the students more time for practical exercises. |

Students/Program affected: All Theatre majors are affected. However, the increased credit load for this class is offset by other proposed changes in our curriculum so that there is no net credit change for the students. |
