New Course Description:
Concentrates on the basic skills of writing scripts for the theatre: plotting, character development, form and structure; but it will develop the form and skills necessary for writing for other media as well.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This is an elective Writing Intensive course. It is a popular course, and it fills completely every time it is taught. However, because of the time intensity involved in the course, we've always had to limit the seats. With moving to four credits, we may be able to open up a few more seats for additional interested students. Also, it will allow for additional assignments throughout the class.
Students/Program affected:
As a Writing Intensive elective course, this change will only affect those students who choose to take the course.
