Current Course Description: Psy 320 Geropsychology 4 hours Explores the relationships between psychological, physiological, behavioral, cognitive, and social aspects of older adults' lives. In addition, topics related to living environments, retirement, social support, family relationships and diseases of older adulthood will be covered. Prerequisite: Psy 201 or equivalent.

New Course Description: Introduction to Gerontology 320 4 hours Explores the relationships between psychological, physiological, behavioral, cognitive, and social aspects of older adults' lives. In addition, topics related to living environments, retirement, social support, family relationships and diseases of older adulthood will be covered.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): This change provides a more accurate description and better alignment of the course in our Gerontology major and minor.
