Catalog Description:
GERO 406 Special Individual Studies (1-6) Designed for individual or special studies in a defined area of interest under the guidance of a designated faculty member. Course may be repeated for credit if content is different.
Course Goal and Objectives:
This course will allow students to work with faculty as research assistants or on other specialized projects.
Justification for adding the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
Currently no such course exits in the Gerontology major or minor.
Faculty and facilities needed:
No additional faculty or facilities will be required.
Brief Course outline:
Given the individual nature of these projects, and varied course credits allotted, no specific outline can be provided. Faculty will determine the scope of each project and the manner in which students will be involved in determining the specific goals, requirements and credits earned.
