Current Course Description: FR 201, 202, 203 Second Year French (4 each) This sequence focuses on deepening and broadening students¿ abilities to understand written and spoken French and to speak and write French, and provides students the opportunity to round out their knowledge of the basics of the French language. By the end of this sequence, students will have acquired sufficient knowledge to move on to the thirdyear level at WOU or participate in a study abroad program in France. Prerequisite: FR 103 is prerequisite for FR 201; FR 201 is prerequisite for FR 202; FR 202 is prerequisite for FR 203 |
New Course Description: FR 201 builds fluency with everyday conversation topics (food, shopping, lodging), focusing on vocabulary expansion alongside a thorough review of basic verb forms and sentence structures; both oral/aural and written skills are developed. Further cultural awareness is built through articles, simplified fiction, and multimedia elements. Prerequisite: FR 103 or instructor permission. |
