New Course Description:
FR 301 builds from conversation to formal presentations in French. Students work with authentic and more complex works of fiction, articles, audio interviews, websites, etc. Grammar will take a less important place, although most verb tenses and important components of the sentence will be reviewed. Learning the literary tense ¿passé simple¿ will allow students to read an unabridged literary work. Students use a frequency list of most common words to assess which they do not yet know and plan which ones they will learn. Prerequisite: FR 203 or instructor permission.
