New Course Description:
Methods which psychologists use to describe, summarize and make inferences about measurements made on people, things or events. Course activities include a significant student research project and may include meetings with the instructor outside of regularly scheduled class meeting times. Prerequisites: Psy 301 and Math 105 or higher. (Note: students completing a BA or AB take MTH 105 or higher. Students completing a BS take Math 111 or higher)

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
Course description change to "may include" was made to more accurately describe the student experience. Prerequisite change was made to simplify the process of registration for students. We eliminated Psy 201 and Psy 202 as prerequisites because completion of Psy 301 implies that students have also completed Psy 201 and Psy 202 or equivalents. Additionally to reduce confusion with the Math prerequisite we have added wording to reflect the math course students should take dependent upon intended degree program of BA, AB, or BS in psychology.
Students/Program affected:
Psychology majors are the only program affected by this change.
