Explores the spectrum of health communication that includes the evolution of this part of the discipline, patient/provider perspectives and interactions, culture, e-Health and end of life.
Course Goal and Objectives:
Goal: To develop a clear understanding of the impact of health communication on different points in a lifespan. Objectives: 1.Explain the core concepts of health communication. 2.Analyze and apply the theories used in health communication 3.Communicate lifespan-based and real world interaction scenarios with healthcare providers, insurance companies, and other institutions.
Justification for adding the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
This course is an addition to the existing Communication Studies program, under the Interpersonal and Organizational section.

No additional faculty or facilities are need as this course is being taught through the Temporary Course Approval.
