Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.): This required lab-based course, currently taught during fall and winter terms, will be moved to winter and spring terms in order to better accommodate teaching and facilities constraints associated with concurrently teaching Bi 318 (Microbiology for the Health Sciences). In addition, the changes in the Introductory Genetics and Cell Biology course numbers from Bi 311 to Bi 314 and from Bi 313 to Bi 315, respectively, which are ¿strongly recommended¿ classes for this course will also be noted. |
