New Course Description:
GS 201H, 202H, 203H Natural Science: The Search for Order (4 each)

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
To reduce the credit hours of this course to equal that of comparable 3 hour lecture/2 hour lab Natural Sciences courses at the 200 level. The objective is to reduce the credit load of the Honors "alternative LACC", which is the most credit loaded Honors program among OUS institutions. The second objective is to bring the LACC lab science requirement in the Honors "alternative LACC" (currently 15 credit hours) into line with the LACC lab science requirement for the standard LACC (which is 12 credit hours). This change will contribute to making the WOU Honors Curriculum more attractive to WOU students and to students choosing a university based in part or fully on its Honors Program.
Students/Program affected:
Honors Program students only
