Current Course Description:
Will acquaint future middle and high school teachers to the genre of young adult literature across the content area curriculum.

New Course Description:
Introduces teacher candidates to a wide range of young adult literature and develops knowledge for selecting and sharing young adult literature in the middle school and high school classroom. Focuses on the role that young adult literature plays in the secondary school classroom, with an emphasis on nonfiction and fiction texts used across the curriculum.
