Current Course Description:
Evaluation of patterns and determinants of health and disease in populations. Focus on the history of epidemiology, major causes of morbidity and mortality, methods of disease occurrence, study design, association and causation, and how to address public health problems using epidemiological methods.

Focus on the history of epidemiology, major causes of morbidity and mortality, methods of disease occurrence, study design, association and causation, and how to address public health problems using epidemiological methods. Prerequisite: MTH 111.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
The content and skills covered in MTH 111 are foundational to students understanding and application of epidemiological principles.
