Current Course Description:
Analysis of contemporary program planning models. Instruction and practice in designing and implementing a health promotion program. Students will engage with community agencies utilizing a service learning model. Prerequisite: admission to degree program or consent of instructor

New Course Description:
Analysis of contemporary program planning models. Instruction and practice in designing and implementing a health promotion program. Students will engage with community agencies utilizing a service learning model. Prerequisites: MTH 111, HE 227, BI 102, 234, 235, 236, HE 487.

Justification for changing the course (e.g. alignment with other institutions, program revision, etc.):
We want to be more explicit with the description of PRQ's and add HE 487 as a prerequisite to build appropriate sequencing for Community Health Education majors.
Students/Program affected:
HE 471 is a required course for Community Health Education majors.
