She called back and is satisfied.

After updating to the lates java runtime, it
worked just fine for me in IE.  After changing a
bit of her code, it also worked in Firefox.  It
had nothing to do with security settings.  Emailed
her with the results; not closing the request
until I hear that she is satisfied.

Please look at:

When this is opened using Windows explorer, the 
above directory listing shows and the applet 
works. 

When you open the page via the url
http://www.wou.edu/%7Eburtonl/poly/index.html

The html page shows but the java part is a big 
white box with an error that reads
exception:java.lang.NullPointerException.

We are guessing it is a permissions issue.

How do we fix this?
