I set him up with a local account on the machine
so he can use it right away. The machine NEEDS to
be migrated to mash and have updates (including
SP2) installed. He'll be calling in when he is
available to have that done.

He called back again and said that he will be in 
his office until 2:30p today. He needs this 
looked at before that because he has a student 
coming in for help with something. He also has 
class tomorrow and needs this fixed for that as 
well. I told him to call back if no one has gone 
to see him before 2p today. Thanks

He's not sure why it thinks the file's open by
another user. It's evidently saved on the laptop's
HDD so no one else should be able to have it open.
