system preference settings are fine.  still not
working and tried a second new blank disk.  She
put the stack of blank disks on top of the tower
so we have more than one to try.

the problem is that the cd burner is not
recognizing blank cds.  She took a brand new one
out of the package and we couldn't get the burner
to see it under any profile.  She can read
previosly burned cds.  Tomorrow (friday) would be
a great day to work on it because she will be out
all day and her office is permanently open.  She
will leave the blank disk on her desk so we can
test it.

She tried the CD in another computer and it 
worked fine. She said she will need a replacement 
computer if hers is taken to get fixed. Her 
office will be open if she is gone. Thanks
