He says the files are backed up on the network.
The program is running fine now, yesterday it
wasn't for some reason. I think its safe to close
this task now.

Derek called and says they are having problems
with Past Perfect application.

Here is the e-mail that Andrew sent me last
week, describing what I know of the situation.
Attached is the error message we are getting for
when we try to start PastPerfect. Any help you
can give would be greatly appreciated.

Subject: museum files

Hello,
This is Andrew @ UCS. I've found two different
places on the i: drive where photos for the
museum are saved. The paths are:

i:\advancement\inst_adv\jensen\pp3
and
i:\Inst_adv\JENSEN\pp3

I stored the files from the macem profile in the
first one because it had been accessed more
recently (today), and the other hasn't been
accessed since september of last year. I was
curios as to which of these paths you use, that
way we can point and put things in the proper
place. You can email me back or call the help
desk at 88925 and give them the information. For
reference the task number is 14422. You can give
that number to the help desk and they'll update
the proper task.

Got a reply.
As far as I can tell, the
I:\advancement\inst_adv\jensen\pp3 folder is used
as a sort of backup dump site for the program. My
understanding is that the program and it's main
files are located on our C: drive, and the program
autosaves to the I: location that I mentioned. I
appreciate the help... Please let me know if you
need anything else.

The stuff from the macem profile is saved in the
latter of the two.

Found two different paths the museum files are
saved in on \\cougar\advancement. Emailed Derek
asking him which one is used. The paths are
\\cougar\advancement\Inst_adv\JENSEN\pp3 and
\\cougar\advancement\advancement\inst_adv\jensen\pp3

Derek Finholt now has admin rights on 20030620[Edit Inv]. He
can access the PastPerfect software now. Still
need to move all the important documentation from
the macem profile to the Jensen I:\ share.

They called back and asked if it is possible to
install the main software on their network so he
can have access to it whenever he needs, rather
than using an old username and password from
someone else. He says that as of now he is not
even able to access the software at all. He needs
this ASAP, otherwise they are at a stand still.

The profile macem was very large, probably because
it had the picture documentation for the museum on
it. It was moved to c:\pics.

Of course with the passage of time I could be
wrong about this password. This was the Museum
director of 2 times ago login. Marianna Mace

I have a vague memory that the password is
Sunny64 not just Sunny.

...to log onto the computer that has access to
all of their files. However, now they are being
denied access. The username they used was: macem
and the password was: Sunny. The main software is
accessed only through this username. They are
hoping for administrative access so they can get
to the software needed without having to use just
one username and password. You might want to talk
to him first, he said that he is "scatter-
brained" right now and has other concerns as well.
