the popup was generated by an actualy piece of 
software installed on the machine claiming to be 
anti-virus software.  I looked it up on the net 
and found mixed reviews, some sites claimed it 
was malware, others did not.  She did not know 
what the software was so i uninstalled it and 
then ran windows defender.

She can't close it and there's no program button
in the taskbar. Looks like spyware.
