She couldn't get excel to open because automatic 
updates kept trying to run and failed.  I went 
to the updates site and ran updates witout a 
cd.  I also did windows updates, including the 
video card.  That screwed up the video so I 
rolled back the driver.  Everything is good 
now.

She couldn't do whatever update it was. She
eventually was able to cancel out of it, but it
popped up the second she logged in this morning.
