that video card has problems with dell machines,
there is a script on the desktop that you must run
every time you log into the machine (first run it
with remove and then run it with install). The
icon for the script is on the desktop. I left
this in a voicemail for her but I will be expectin
g a call back. Please get times available for us
to meet with her.

****This is an email****
Hi again UCS folks-

I just found 2 more programs loaded on the front
work station computer in NS 204 (WOU #20040659).
Those programs are: FBSpectrimG and SERRBLK v1-
1.exe.

Earlier this summer I'd asked that a
FlashBus /twain driver be loaded on to
WOU#20040659[Edit Inv]. I believe that FBSpectrimG is what
computing services then put on to that machine
for us to use. Unfortunately, there seems to be a
major problem with it. Every time I try to open
it, I get this message:
"Hardware Malfunction
Call your hardware vendor for support
NMI: Parity check/ memory parity check."

Can someone from UCS come and reload that program
or something similar? It is a driver used to open
& view a feed from an S-video cable attached to
an Olympus camera & microscope.

In NS 004, on WOU #20030235[Edit Inv], there is a similar
set-up to what we'd like to have installed on WOU
#20040659[Edit Inv]. That program is called FlashBus FBG or
FlashBusMV. I don't know if there is freeware we
can get, or if it will need to be purchased.

Thanks very much,
Piper Mueller-Warrant
