Took a look at it. Couldn't replicate problem and
she printed out a standard 28 page menu document.
Looked inside and didn't see any obvious problems
with the feed mechanism. Told her we'd close the
ticket. She was fine with that.

Called and left vm letting her know I was unable
to reproduce the problem yesterday and that we
need to come in when she's in the office so she
can show us exactly what she's doing.

She was in a meeting but someone let me into the
conference room to check the printer. It's located
in room 123.

There's a pink notecard taped to the printer
listing the problems. I tried to replicate each of
them with limited success. The printer is an HP
Business Inkjet 2600.

The LCD display is broken and needs to be
replaced/fixed if possible. It's virtually unreadable.

The notecard indicated that the printer was
pulling extra pages when printing. Also, the
printer would pause after printing each individual
page of a multipage print job until after the user
hit the "resume" button.

I openend word and printed 3 print jobs. 1
one-page job which printed just fine without
grabbing any extra sheets and 2 three-page jobs
which also printed without any problems.

There are two printers listed on the machine that
Big Mac is attached to: Big Mac (normal) and Big
Mac Postscript. I tried one three page job with
each one and they both printed out just fine with
no extra pages and no resume button needed.

There is an office dialog box that comes up and
warns about an acrobat macro that's installed and
"may be a virus". I deactivated this both times.
It may be that the printer only exibits the
printing problems when someone is printing a word
document using these macros. Since Ann was in a
meeting I coudln't test this.

i was logged in as a student for all these print jobs.
