It was one of the tray housings. I've removed it
and the printer is functional with it.

Went over. There's another printer next to the
faulty one. Swapped out toner, paper trays, and
duplexers and the problem remained.

The faulty printer is making a very loud grinding
noise when it prints. The noise is louder at some
times than at others but it's always present. It
sounds like a gear isn't meshing properly or that
something's being shoved against something else. I
looked inside but didn't see any obvious signs of
wear and tear. There's a great deal of toner dust
inside the main printer area but swapping the
toner out with another cartridge didn't do
anything to help. Seems like part of the feed
mechanism in the printer itself is borked.

If joe gets back before the end of my shift I'll
ask for further instructions. if not this printer
is unplugged but still in the WUC lab.

She called back and said that after she turned
the noisey printer off the other printer would
not print. So she had to turn it back on to get
things to print. She would like to have help with
this ASAP because she said that it is really
loud. Thanks
