Outlook Time Zone Problem

Many Outlook users have called into the service
request desk about Outlook Calendar giving a Time
Zone mapping error. After looking into the issue
we found that the best solution is to re-connect
the Outlook software with our e-mail server. This
is done by downloading a small program that will
ask for your user information and then
automatically connect Outlook to our e-mail server.

It is important to note that this process will not
save some of the local settings on your Outlook
account. Both your local views, as well as custom
e-mail flags will be lost. All of your flagged
e-mails will have flags, and if you have reminders
set for the flags you will lose those as well.

Before you do anything please completely close
Outlook. To run the connector simply right click
on the link below and choose the “save target as”
option. Once the file is saved you then must right
click on the icon and choose to rename it, simply
add an ‘e’ to the current name so that it looks
like 21jun06.exe. If done correctly you will
notice the icon picture change, it is now an
executable file. Simply double click the icon and
follow the steps. If you have any problems with
any of these steps please call the service request
desk at 88925. -Brian Smith (UCS)

Error message:'Time zone is not mapped or mapping
failed, please contact administrator'. He gets
this when he tries to turn off reminders for
meetings. He doesn't know if it is every
reminder, but it has happened a few times.
