Hello,

you asked UCS to fix a 'Generic Host Process'
error message.

I ran a script file that cleans up the registry
and renames a folder that holds updates.

when I logged on after ward the host problem went
away.

If there are any other issues or problems that
arise with this project please feel free to email
us at ucshelpdesk@wou.edu or to call us at 88925.

Thanks,

She is still having this problem when she logs
in. She doesn't have time for anyone to look at
it today, so she will call back on Friday.

Called, left vm asking if this was still a problem
and for her to call in with times we can come by
when she'll be there.

Since we've been trying to contact her since the
18th and she hasn't gotten back to us I'm tempted
to close this ticket on Friday if we haven't heard
from her.

Okay, Mike. Thanks for checking. Your records
probably show that this problem has been looked at
and that the computer was taken out of my office
one time. The message usually shows up when I log
in, so early some morning, I'll call you.

Professor Strand,

I came by your office today and was let in by the
department secretary. I worked on your machine for
about 15 minutes, but was unable to reproduce the
error you described in your ticket. Please call us
at 88925 with times this week (or next week if
it's better for you) when you'll be in your office
so we can come by and see if we can catch this
error with you at the computer.

If you have any questions about this project you
can call us at 88925 or email us at
ucshelpdesk@wou.edu

Thank you,

Mike Orr

Went over. Secretary let me in. Could not
reproduce problem at all. Ran windows updates and
svcthis script just to be on the safe side. I'm
going to email and ask for a time when they'll be
there so we can help them out and see if we can
reproduce the error.

She can use her computer fine but she does not
think that she should be getting this message.
SHe is in and out at classes today so you can
either call first or the sec can let you in.
THanks
