Turned out to be an electrical issue. The physical
plant fixed this.

called and left a voicemail. If it is just an
electrical problem than we need to know so that
we can close out the task.

Scott Grim called. The electrical outlet that the
mac is plugged into started making crackling
sounds and the plug fell out by itself, leading
them to believe that there's nothing wrong with
the mac, but instead the electrics. I suggested
that they first call the Physical Plant to get an
electrician out to assess the situation. A tech
will need to verify that the mac was not damaged
in the process and the mac itself may need to be
plugged into a different outlet.

Scott Grim should be the point of contact for
this request (88147) as Karen is on Maternity
Leave.

could not get the problem to occur. Left note for
Brook, the person who had experienced the problem.
Asked her to contact us directly.

Sorry for the cryptic-ness of the message, but
there was a note for Mary (Karen is on maternity
leave and Mary Miller is in her place) giving
these precious few details.
