Professor Timken,

I came over to your office this afternoon and
updated the office software. This fixed the
problem with excel crashing. If this problem
persists, please call in to 88925 and let us know,
but you should be ok at this point.

For your information what generally causes
problems like this is if the Mac opperating system
updates. This will require an update for office as
well. The same is true if Office updates in that
the Mac OS will also most likely need updates. If
this happens in the future we should be able to
fix the problem quickly if we just update the
software.

Went over, ran mac office update. Problem solved.
Going to email her. I'll append that here.

User called. She is in her office now until 
1:45pm. A physical ed secretary could let a tech 
into the office. 

Called in, didn't leave message since I left one
this morning.

When she tries to quit it says 'reference is not 
valid'. If she shuts down her computer by 
pressing the button, it is still frozen on the 
same screen when she turns it back on. This is 
the only program she is having trouble with. She 
needs some stuff for a class at 8.30, but can get 
by without it. If she is in class, someone in the 
building can open the door, or you can get her in 
her class in the gym (same building).
