Didn't think to try to uninstall and reinstall
printkey. If no one takes care of this by my
3:30-5 shift today I'll try that out. Thanks for
the idea Brian.

On loggin two things are happening. I'm not sure
if they're connected or not, although they seem to be.

The system is trying to prompt to save a PDF file.
It prompts for a location and if you click "ok" it
gives the error message:

"C:\Documents and Settings\LocalService\Desktop is
unavailable..."

There is no LocalService user directory in
Documents and Settings so I've saved the document
to my user desktop. It saves fine, but this prompt
will continue to show up any time someone logs in.
There are evidently two distinct pdfs it's trying
to save. Both of them are from the Printkey
program and both of them are simply screen shots.

I've tried disabling all Adobe startup items as
well as Printkey in msconfig, but this prompt
still shows up.

As I said, these files still prompt to be saved
even after being saved and a reboot. I also tried
a total shut down and restart and the problem
persisted.

The second problem, and the one which caused us to
get a call for this machine is that it gives the
error stating that there is no disk in the drive
on login. It doesn't state which drive, the cpu
doesn't seem to be attempting to access the A:
drive and all you can do is continue past it.

The machine works fine after you get through all
of this, although it does run a little slow. I
think the slowness is more likely related to the
number of apps loading in the system tray than to
the problem that we're troubleshooting.

I couldn't come up with a solution to this so I'm
adding these notes and hoping someone can figure
something out.

"Windows No disk. There is no disk in the drive,
please insert a disk into drive." This is at the
Reference desk. They are only trying to log in
when they get this error. She said that it runs
really slow too.
