Installed the gimp. Left vm telling her it was
installed and where I put the launch icon. If she
has any further issues she can call in a new ticket.

Called user, left vm asking if she'd purchased
Photoshop or if she was still looking into options
etc. For what she said she's trying to do "caption
photos" we could just try to install the MAC
version of Gimp.

Talked to Joe. He said that the terminal server
licenses are assigned per device and right now we
don't have spare ones. This will change in the
near future, but for now that's why the remote
connection didn't work.

Going to contact the user and still if she's
ordered photoshop or if she still intends to do so.

User is going to go through the purchase request
system for her photoshop issue. However, she would
like to have remote desktop working in the mean time.

Ok, tried to set up the remote connection. It
connected fine the first time but was at 640x480
resolution and 256 colors. I shut down the
connection and changed the settings to 1280x1024
and millions of colors. From then on no matter
what options I chose it would fail to connect
saying there was an error on the local machine.

Not sure why this error kept occuring, couldn't
narrow down the causes.

She wasn't actually trying to run photoshop. She
was searching finder with the string "photoshop"
and trying to open up anything that came up.

She's never had photoshop on this computer before,
she said she's never used it before. she just
wants it now.

Checked with Tricia, there is no sort of license
for the department or anything so she'd have to
purchase this herself. I'm going to try to show
her how to use remote desktop on the terminal
servers on her mac and see if that's good enough
for her.

She will be in her office for awhile. But she
said that you can go in and download it for her.
